The Artists -
Darby Jampijinpa Ross (c.1910-2005) was a senior and highly respected figure in Warlpiri ceremonial life and one of the grand old men of Yuendumu painting. He was one of the group of senior men of the Yuendumu community who painted the school doors in 1984, helping to spark off painting in the community and the establishment of Warlukurlangu Artists in 1985.
