About -

Just like honeyeaters, the Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis) has a brush-like tongue that well- developed for nectar feeding but they also enjoy berries and insects.

They can live up to 10 years and some of them travel long distances during the winter months to find warmer climes. This cute creature sits atop the striking blossoms of the Crimson Bottlebrush (Melaleuca citrina).
