The artist -

Hilma af Klint (1862-1944), Swedish painter, mystic and, not least, pioneer of abstract art, was only (re)discovered by the art world a few years ago. She had decreed that her abstract pictures, which were influenced by Theosophy and Spiritualism, could only be shown 20 years after her death. It wasn't until 2013 that the Moderna Museet in Stockholm dedicated a comprehensive retrospective to her, and an exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York followed five years later. The time is ripe to honor the great work of Hilma af Klint.
