The Artist -

Fiona Craig was born in Sydney and grew up in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, studying arts and crafts at home and at local art groups. She is an award winning fine artist and art teacher and has held numerous solo exhibitions, her artworks are in private and public collections worldwide.

Fiona worked for many years doing portraits by commission, and then a series of landscapes influenced by the Blue Mountains area. She then began to paint Australian native flora, becoming particularly interested in close up studies of gumleaves, waratahs, banksias and other flowers unique to Australia.

For the past decade Fiona has been living in Australian and the USA. While her specialty remains Australian native flora, she has also enjoyed painting American landscapes, the flora of her local botanic garden in Chicago.
