The Art -

A hotbed of European art and culture, France has long attracted visitors to experience its riches. In the early 20th century, advances in transportation drew tourists there in droves. Well-known artists such as Constant Léon Duval and Roger Broders were commissioned to create imagery highlighting destinations all across France, from the picturesque castles of the Loire Valley to the dramatic Grottes de la Balme to the spectacle that is the tidal island of Mont Saint-Michel. The 12 posters reproduced in this calendar capture the joie de vivre of a trip through the French countryside.
